Rich Campbell

Composer Rich Campbell is active in New York as a musician, teacher and performer. Credits include recordings, film, TV, concerts, club dates, stage shows and stints on Mississippi riverboats. As a keyboard player, Rich has performed or recorded with artists as varied as Antigone Rising, Stephen Lynch, Sam The Sham, The Triplets, Stevie Cochran, and The Blues Jumpers. He has played at hundreds of venues, including Carnegie Hall, the Montreux Jazz Festival and the Memphis Blues Ball. As a member of the band Cadillac Moon, Rich appeared in the film “Devil’s Advocate.” He can also be seen on episodes of “Law & Order: Criminal Intent,” “SNL,” “SMASH,” “The Good Fight” and films including “Joker” and “That Awkward Moment.”

An award-winning composer, Rich has twice been a resident fellow at the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts. His choral works have been performed by The Manhattan Choral Ensemble, The Young People’s Chorus of New York, The Australian Boys Choir, SACRA/PROFANA, VocalEssence, Octarium, The College of St. Rose, The Wasatch Chorale, Voices Boston, among others. He has written songs and instrumental pieces for various ensembles. His work was included in Center City Opera Theatre’s concert “Art Songs of the 21st Century.” The quintet Brass Initiative recorded his “Variations On A Groove.” In the theatre, Rich has composed work performed or workshopped at New York’s Dixon Place, P.S. 122, Cherry Lane, Ensemble Studio Theatre, Chicago’s Red Orchid Theatre and Jacksonville’s Florida Theatre.

An avid runner, Rich has completed 27 marathons (New York 24 consecutive times: ’99-’23, Boston, London and San Diego).
